If you’re a remodeler, there is a MASSIVE opportunity on Facebook and Instagram that you could be missing out on. I work with remodelers everyday and only 1-2% of them are using Facebook properly. That fact that you can show homeowners in your area, your FB posts is gold.
In this guide I’m going to break it all down for you. We’ll go over:
1. Setting up your FB page, billing & ads manager
2. Creating a post homeowners LOVE on your FB page
3. Create an ad with your FB post
4. Setting up your targeting
5. A complete posting schedule
For each section you’ll get a training video going over each step of the way.
The Strategy
Before we get going let me explain the strategy. The days of posting some good content on Facebook and a bunch of people seeing it for free are over. Facebook wants you to pay to reach your audience. But you don’t need to spend thousands. Spending $5/day is good enough to start with.
In this training our strategy is to create a before and after post on your Facebook page. Homeowners LOVE these and they are great for getting likes, shares and comments on your ad. After we create that post on your FB page we’ll jump into FB’s advertising platform and pay to promote it. Again you don’t need to go crazy here. $5/day is going to get a lot of exposure in your local area.
Will This Get Me Leads?
The million dollar question! I know you’re thinking it and rightfully so. The answer is yes but not a quick yes.
Let me explain.
Facebook is a social network. People are hanging out of Facebook to socialize with their friends, read stuff people shared and to look at cat pictures. They are not on FB to be sold to. BUT they are open to looking at things they are interested in.
Do you think a homeowner, that makes over 100K/yr and has a purchase behavior in home renovations is interested in looking at before & after pictures of kitchens and baths? YOU BET!
Think about it like this:
Our strategy: We show homeowners interested in home renos cool FB posts of your work.
Getting leads: They share and like your posts. You peak their interest. Some might contact you right away but you’ll be in the back of many minds. When they need that new kitchen renovated, you already sold them.
So you might not get leads off the bat BUT remember people aren’t on FB to be sold to. But if you keep putting pictures of your work in front of them, when they are ready they’ll call you. It BLOWS my mind that most remodelers aren’t using FB correctly.
